Once again, I’ve got a cartoon inspired by Glenn Greenwald’s reporting at Salon.com on the Obama Administration’s troubling disregard for civil liberties, due process, and other things (I felt) he was specifically installed to restore!
The EFF took the NSA to court over the latter’s illegal surveillance activities, and the Obama Justice Department has filed a motion calling for this court challenge to be thrown out, citing “state secrets”…
As with celebrity death/tribute cartoons, Memorial Day is one of those holidays where editorial cartoonists are often extremely lazy and not very clever. I loathe stuff like that, so I tried to make something commenting on the current war that would still have an appropriate attitude for the holiday…
