Yeah, This Won’t Backfire…
Saturday, December 31, 2011
A famous photograph of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam began circulating on the web shortly before the more recent Iraq invasion, and has become symbolic of the folly of giving strongman dictators guns and an expense account for the Military Industrial Complex all-you-can-eat bonanza, not to mention the irony of having those very weapons turned against the US and its allies shortly afterwards…
GOP Bless Us, Everyone
Saturday, December 24, 2011
People have been comparing Newt Gingrich to Ebenezer Scrooge ever since he began calling for the repeal of child labor laws some weeks ago. I knew if I gave it time, I’d eventually come up with a cartoon on Herman Cain that was funny. What I didn’t count on was the sexual harassment scandal remaining relevant this week, so now I find myself wondering how much longer it’s going to last…
Jobstructionism
Saturday, November 5, 2011
I drew this fairly simple piece commenting on the Republican defeat of the President’s “American Jobs Act” in Congress, which was intended to bolster the anemic job market while repairing and updating the nation’s aging infrastructure. Unfortunately, Republicans would rather let millionaires hoard more of their money than redirect even a small amount of it towards job creation…
Rescue 9-9-9
Friday, October 28, 2011
The title of this cartoon references Herman Cain’s rich-friendly tax “plan,” and Rescue 9-1-1, a popular reality show from the ’80s and ’90s which was about actual emergency response telephone calls, and was hosted by William Shatner…
